What new and exciting ranges are you launching at the AGHA Sydney Gift Fair?
It is a very exciting time for us as we are officially launching into the wholesale space in February at the Sydney AGHA trade fair. Our products are luxury bed and bath linen with our focus being white cotton. Our 4 existing bedding collections and full bathroom range were previously available online only via our website however we are now offering them to retailers and agents. We are also launching a brand new (exclusively wholesale) bedding collection being a 200 thread count stone wash percale. This collection is made in Portugal with the rustic look of linen yet soft feel of a warn cotton. We’re expecting it to be a hit especially for those clients who like the look of linen yet not the feel.
What is the inspiration behind your product ranges?
DEIA Living as a whole is inspired by life on the Mediterranean Sea. Our collections are principally white with touches of colours found in the Spanish island of Majorca (from where we take our name). We have designed our products to be interchangeable and suitable for any beach house, town house or inner city apartment.
What is your point of difference?
Our main point of difference is we offer luxury Portuguese made bed and bath linen at attainable prices. Think style not fashion, quality not quantity and an attention to detail that extends through everything we do. We believe thread count is only one factor in creating beautiful soft linen and for that reason our collections come in thread counts from 200 to our top of the range 600 Egyptian cotton sateen which is perfect for those wanting a heavier fabric.
With the Portuguese having a long tradition in the textile industry, we´ve ensured our products are made with love to stand the test of time so you can continue to enjoy them in years to come.
What is the story behind your brand?
Our brand was born in 2013 from the shore of Cala Deià in the Mediterranean island of Majorca far away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney. It was during this holiday, sleeping in the finest of white cotton founder Hope Maine started pondering two questions “why are some of the basic yet important objects around us condemned to be out of reach or lack the quality we deserve? And, at what point did quality become synonymous for expensive?”
This was the launch pad for what you see today. Driven by the desire to offer quality European made home linens without the big brand price tag, we designed these intimate collections, searched high and low for the finest cotton and found the best Portuguese manufacturers to bring our designs to life. Our products have the attention to detail, love and care everyone deserves when buying home linens. Presented beautifully, we invite you to slow down and indulge in the pleasure of fine white cotton against your skin.
