Good news for fans of Prêt-à-Portière’s designer, ready-to-hang drapery—a new collection showcasing a new style has been announced. The collection will debut at the AGHA Sydney Gift Fair on February 18, 2017, and unveils a strong Latin American style that is full of panache and wears its influences on its sleeves via a European detour.
“Until now, most ready-made curtains available on the market have been completely unacceptable for most medium- to high-end homes in Australia, and in some cases, simply lack any inspiration” explained Alice Orozco, who has Latin American heritage. “The newest collection from Prêt-à-Portière is an introduction of my own heritage into my designs—I hope to show other designers that South America has much to offer Australia when it comes to fresh design that goes beyond the typical avenues of inspiration.”
The company has won plaudits for the high quality of its designs, which utilize elegant fabrics, precision cuts and exquisite designs for innovative custom-made, ready-to-hang drapes which add a little extra exotic flavour to Australians seeking to add a touch of grace to their home furnishings.
Compared to the sometimes insipid designs, minimal stitching, and light-leaking low deniers available from big box stores, Prêt-à-Portière’s designs offer a breath of fresh air.
The news of a new collection comes as the company also unveiled a new “self-serve” program which gives retailers an opportunity to offer their customers unique, made-to-order curtains without needing to become experts.
The AGHA Sydney Gift Fair will take place at the Sydney Olympic Park between February 18th—21st, 2017, and Prêt-à-Portière’s new line will debut there throughout at Stand 3G14.
